Service Description
Clear, warm waters, wrecks and fascinating marine life make St Helena Island an enticing snorkelling and scuba diving destination. Dive site habitats vary from rocky reefs with caves and areas of boulders to cobbles and sand, all teeming with marine life and all within easy reach of the wharf in Jamestown. The wrecks dotted around the coast present popular dive and snorkelling sites. Sea temperatures vary from 66 to 75°F allowing for great conditions. The SS Papanui, which burned out and sank in James Bay in 1911. Join us for a wreck dive as well as another amazing dive spot that may include navigating through caves and archways. Sub-Tropic Adventures is proud to have been helping our customers discover the wonders of our marine environment since 2000. Diving in St Helena's waters have something to offer everyone. Beginners will love our predominately calm sea conditions and seeing our extraordinary marine life. Experienced divers will enjoy the thrill of caves, night diving, wrecks and seamounts. Please note this guided dive will be for 2 separate dive locations and 2 separate trips, allowing for a day and a night dive. You will be contacted with exact times 2 weeks prior to drive. If you prefer not to do a night dive, we can accommodate both dives being day dives and dates and times will be confirmed after booking. Dive price includes weights, cylinders and light beverage. All other equipment is available at an additional cost.
