Green Wagon Tour Company is a favourite with visitors to experience the scenic beauty, historic heritage and cultural uniqueness of Saint Helena. Our tours are safe, reliable, comfortable, informative and entertaining; conducted by an engaging and knowledgeable guide ensuring that your visit to this extraordinary island will be even more unforgettable. This comprehensive excursion begins in Jamestown and follows in the footsteps of Napoleon Bonaparte at the beginning of his exile on St. Helena. From Jamestown, you pass the site where he spent his first night and follow the road which winds out of town to his temporary residence at the Briar’s Pavilion. Enroute you will see the heart-shaped waterfall rising above James’s valley. Your journey continues through Alarm Forest to Longwood House where Napoleon spent the remainder of his life. The next stop will be the site of Napoleon’s tomb in the peaceful setting of Sane Valley. The tour will then climb into the lush, green central ridges of the island where you will experience spectacular views overlooking Sandy Bay Valley on the South side of the island then around to beautiful Blue Hill in the West. The next stop is Plantation House to visit Jonathan the tortoise, the island’s oldest resident, followed by a visit to the prominent High Knoll Fort, which affords breath-taking scenery before returning to Jamestown via Ladder Hill. Cost includes entry fees and packed lunch. Price is based on a minimum of 2 persons.
